Surprise qualifiers LB Châteauroux of Ligue 2 have signed Toulouse FC defender Aurélien Mazel and FC Sochaux-Montbéliard midfield player Kamel Chafni as they prepare for their 2004/05 UEFA Cup campaign.
Two-year contracts
The 21-year-old Maizel and 22-year-old Chafni have both signed two-year contracts. Both players have past Ligue 2 experience and will hope to push the club towards the promotion places, as well as success in Europe. Châteauroux join the UEFA Cup in round one.
