FC Spartak Moskva must complete their UEFA Cup group-stage campaign without midfielder Renat Sabitov who has broken his leg.

Leg break
Sabitov faces at least two months on the sidelines after fracturing a fibula bone during Spartak's friendly match against Spanish side Elche CF. The 22-year-old defensive player will therefore miss the Russian club's remaining three Group E games – away to AC Sparta Praha, at home to FC Zürich, and away to Toulouse FC. Sabitov made 15 appearances during the recently concluded Premier-Liga season, his first with Spartak since his transfer from FC Saturn Moskovskaya Oblast. His team finished second in the 2007 title race behind FC Zenit St. Petersburg.
