S.S. Lazio have confirmed Edoardo Reja as their coach for next season with the 65-year-old signing a contract until June 2012, including an option for the following campaign.
"He has signed for just one season because that is the way he likes to work. He wants his results to speak for him," said Lazio president Claudio Lotito. Former SSC Napoli and HNK Hajduk Split coach Reja joined Lazio in February 2010 and guided his team to fifth place in Serie A in his first full season in charge. Lazio missed out on a UEFA Champions League spot, finishing behind Udinese Calcio on goal difference, but will compete in the UEFA Europa League next term.
