Goalkeeper Scott Carson has joined UEFA Europa League hopefuls Bursaspor for an undisclosed fee from Premier League outfit West Bromwich Albion FC.

Carson spent three years at the Hawthorns, making 118 appearances in total after signing from Liverpool FC in 2008. "In the three months I worked with Scott, I cannot fault his professionalism and dedication," said West Brom manager Roy Hodgson. "He has been a good servant to the club and I would like to wish him all the best for the future as he looks to broaden his experience by playing in a foreign country."

Capped three times by England and most recently in 2008, the 25-year-old will now be hoping for a taste of European football, with Bursaspor due to enter the UEFA Europa League third qualifying round after finishing third in the Turkish Super League last season.
