The Chelsea FC players expressed their satisfaction after a 3-1 UEFA Europa League quarter-final first-leg victory over FC Rubin Kazan but warned that they are expecting a tough return next Thursday at Moscow's Stadion Luzhniki. Victor Moses saluted fellow goalscorer Fernando Torres, who was responsible for the first and third, and said the Spaniard has the support of every member of Rafael Benítez's squad.

Victor Moses, Chelsea winger
It wasn't an easy game for us but 3-1 was a fair result. Scoring a goal was a massive thing for me. I needed quick feet to strike the ball like that and I was delighted to see it go in. It was great for the team as well. Everyone put a lot of effort in. We've got quality players and hopefully we're good enough to win this trophy.

Fernando showed just what he is about and they were two great goals from him. He's a natural goalscorer who has been working hard in training and everyone is behind him. These goals will bring his confidence back and I'm happy for him.

Ramires, Chelsea midfielder
We have established a good lead. We know that the second leg will be difficult away from home, so it was important to get the victory and score three goals.

It's tough [playing so many games in quick succession]. It's difficult because you have very few days to recover from each game. Benítez is doing very well to rotate the side, making sure that no one gets worn out. It means that the players he does pick are always ready to go. Obviously we want to qualify for the Champions League but we don't want to forgo the trophies that we are chasing either.

José Rondón, Rubin forward
We lost but we still have the home game to come. On the artificial pitch in Moscow, we still have a chance.
