FC Zenit St. Petersburg defender Tomáš Hubočan has been sidelined for three weeks after damaging ankle ligaments.
The Slovakian international centre-back lasted only 18 minutes of Wednesday's 1-0 reverse at FC Spartak Moskva – leaders Zenit's first Russian Premier-Liga defeat of the season – before pulling up with the injury.
The 25-year-old will miss the UEFA Europa League match at HNK Hajduk Split on 4 November, when Luciano Spalletti's men will attempt to prolong a perfect record after three Group G games. Hubočan, who has never scored a league goal for Zenit, struck in the first minute of the 4-2 Matchday 2 victory against AEK Athens FC.
