'Huge potential'
The 17-year-old striker played 19 first-team matches last season for Germinal Beerschot and joins Willem II for an undisclosed fee, with the club beating the likes of RSC Anderlecht to his signature. Willem II scouting manager Gerard Wielaert said: "Several clubs showed an interest in the forward who already has experience at the highest level, despite his young age. We are happy he has chosen Willem II and see a player with huge potential for the coming years."
UEFA Cup return
Dembele's new team will make their second UEFA Cup appearance next season starting in the first round, having reached the 2004/05 Dutch Cup final where they lost to PSV Eindhoven.
