De Wilde ordered to rest

Goalkeeper Filip De Wilde will miss the second leg of RSC Anderlecht's UEFA Cup tie with FC Midtyjlland.

RSC Anderlecht will be without goalkeeper Filip De Wilde for the second leg of their UEFA Cup tie with FC Midtyjlland.

Optimistic view
The veteran goalkeeper had missed the first leg with a calf injury but had been expected to be fit for the return next Thursday and this weekend's Belgian First Division game at K. Sint-Truidense VV.

Medical tests
However, following a medical examination today, doctors have decided that the 38-year-old former Belgian international needs three weeks of complete rest before attempting to play another first-team game.

Zitka in goal
Daniel Zitka looks likely to deputise again for De Wilde after playing in goal in the first match with Midtyjlland, which Anderlecht won 3-1 at home, and he may also be called upon for the vital domestic game against Club Brugge KV on 7 December.
