PSG lose forward pair

Paris Saint-Germain FC have been hit by a double blow with injuries to two key strikers.

Paris Saint-Germain FC have been hit by a double blow with injuries to two key strikers that will keep them out for at least a month.

Knee injury
Brazilian forward José Aloisio was hurt in Ligue 1 action against FC Sochaux-Montbéliard, suffering a knee injury that caused him to be substituted on the hour mark. His replacement was Nigerian forward Bartholomew Ogbeche, who managed to score PSG's goal in a 1-1 draw. However, Ogbeche then picked up a thigh strain during the match and has also been ruled out for up to four weeks.

National match
Both men will miss PSG's UEFA Cup second round second-leg match against FC National Bucuresti at Parc des Princes on Thursday. However, their absence should not cause too many problems as PSG were 2-0 winners in Romania and have South American duo Martin Cardetti and Ronaldinho to call upon.

More missed games
However, coach Luis Fernandez will be without the injured pair for at least a further four matches, including the first leg of the UEFA Cup third round, should PSG secure qualification.
