World Cup woe
The 26-year-old passed a medical this morning and will have a four-year contract with the London-based UEFA Cup contenders. Depending on appearances, West Ham will pay Norwich City FC up to €3m for Green, who is recovering from a groin injury that caused him to miss the 2006 FIFA World Cup. Green played 223 league games for Norwich, having made his debut in April 1999. West Ham have already signed defenders Tyrone Mears, John Paintsil, George McCartney and Jonathan Spector, along with midfielder Lee Bowyer and striker Carlton Cole.
