Returns to Olimpico
Now that Lupatelli has become a Roma player outright he will return to the Olimpico stadium where he played eight matches in the Giallorossi's title-winning campaign of 2000/01. He will be in competition for a starting place with Ivan Pelizzoli and Francesco Antonioli, although the latter could be sold during the summer.
D'Agostino deal
Roma have also bought the full ownership of Italian Under-21 international Gaetano D'Agostino, who had spent last season on loan with AS Bari. A creative midfield player, the 21-year-old is a product of Roma's youth system.
Lucio talks
Meanwhile, the capital club are still trying to agree personal terms with Brazilian defender Lucio. The Giallorossi have reportedly reached an agreement with Bayer 04 Leverkusen for the €15m transfer of the player.
