Welcome to Romania for the UEFA European Under-19 Championship Finals.

Reaching this final stage is a fantastic achievement, as only the eight best teams have a chance to fight for one of the most prestigious trophies in youth national team competitions. Each finalist has overcome tough qualification battles to be here – and now the real excitement begins.

This tournament has launched many future stars into the spotlight. Players like Rodri, Erling Haaland, Álvaro Morata, and Kylian Mbappé – to name a few – made their first mark on the international stage right here. And with five members of Spain's UEFA EURO 2024-winning team having lifted this very trophy, the path from promise to greatness is clear.

I thank the Romanian Football Federation and its president, Răzvan Burleanu, for their outstanding commitment and energy in bringing this tournament to life. Their dedication has set the stage for Europe's brightest young talents to show the world what they can do.

The future of European football is right here, and it looks incredibly bright. I wish all participants to make the most of this opportunity, to give everything, and to enjoy every second of it.

We are proud that Romania will host the UEFA European Under-19 Championship final tournament for the second time.

This competition is another opportunity to show our ability to organise top-level football events, strengthening the legacy of EURO 2020 and the U21 EURO 2023. We have great infrastructure, stadiums and a team of experienced professionals who will ensure a flawless tournament. Every detail has been carefully planned to provide excellent conditions for the players and to create a memorable experience for the spectators.

We hope that this U19 EURO will inspire future generations and once again demonstrate that Romania is a reliable partner for UEFA. We are ready to deliver a high-quality football spectacle where Romanian fans will have the chance to witness the future stars of European football.
