The UEFA Executive Committee met today and decided on the appointment of the hosts for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship final tournament in 2027.
Following a submission of a sole joint bid dossier, the Albanian and Serbian Football Associations were appointed as hosts for the 2027 edition of the tournament.
The 16-team tournament is scheduled to be played at four stadiums in Albania (Tirana, Shkodër, Elbasan and Rrogozhinë) and four stadiums in Serbia (Novi Sad, Loznica, Leskovac and Zaječar). The opening match will take place in Serbia and the final will be held in Albania.
Both hosts will be assured of a finals place, with qualifying for the remaining 14 slots running across 2026 and 2027.
This will be the first time the U21 EURO finals have been played in Albania or Serbia. Albania will host their first UEFA national-team final tournament this year when they stage the UEFA European Under-17 Championship, while Tirana hosted the first-ever UEFA Conference League final in 2022. Serbia hosted the Under-17 tournament in 2011, while UEFA Futsal EURO 2016 was played in Belgrade.
