FCR Duisburg defeated VfL Wolfsburg 4-0 in their last fixture before their UEFA Women's Cup final against Zvezda-2005 over the next two weekends – but they remain behind FC Bayern München and 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam in the race for the Frauen-Bundesliga title.

Bayern ahead
Duisburg, who travel to Kazan next Saturday before welcoming Zvezda to the MSV Arena, were 2-0 up at the break against Wolfsburg through Jennifer Oster and Inka Grings. League top scorer Grings made it 25 for the season on 47 minutes and Linda Bresonick added a late penalty. With two games to go Duisburg are four points behind Bayern, who beat Hamburger SV 3-0 and play FCR on 26 May, and one adrift of their 30 May German Cup final opponents Potsdam, also 3-0 winners against SC 07 Bad Neuenahr. Although 1. FFC Frankfurt triumphed 5-1 at TSV Crailsheim, they now cannot retain their title and have only a mathematical chance of earning a top-two finish and entry into the inaugural UEFA Women's Champions League next season.
