Vidarsdóttir feat
Vidarsdóttir's performance in her last European campaign for Valur Reykjavík ended with her equalling the seasonal best set in 2004/05 by Conny Pohlers, and has left her top of a table she headed on her own in 2005/06 and jointly with Vera Djatel and Patrizia Panico last term. The 22-year-old Vidarsdóttir, also the top scorer in UEFA WOMEN'S EURO 2009™ qualifying, is set to compete in next season's UEFA Women's Champions League with her new club, Linköpings FC of Sweden.
Grings challenge
The closest challanger to Vidarsdóttir still involved in the competition is Grings, who on her debut European campaign has struck nine times for Duisburg, including twice in the semi-final second-leg win against Olympique Lyonnais that took them through to play Zvezda-2005. Two players for the Russian side, at home in Saturday's first leg, are on seven goals: Natalia Barabshina and Olesya Kurochkina. Djatel, who joined Zvezda from Zhilstroy-1 Karkhiv for this season, has five along with club-mate Nataliya Zinchenko.
