Olympique Lyonnais suffered a double blow ahead of Friday's UEFA Women's Champions League draw when they suffered their first Feminine Division 1 defeat since September 2006 and lost full-back Sandrine Dusang to an injury that is likely to rule her out for the quarter-finals in March.
Off the top
Lyon, who defeated Fortuna Hjørring 5-0 on Thursday to book their place in the last eight, came down the earth three days later with a 3-1 reverse at FC Hénin-Baumont, ending a run of 70 league matches unbeaten and a 22-game winning streak dating back more than a year. That allowed Paris Saint-Germain FC to move a point clear with a 0-0 draw against Lyon's fellow UEFA Women's Champions League quarter-finalists Montpellier Hérault SC.
Dusang out
The titleholders had worse news as captain Dusang left the pitch on 25 minutes. Scans on the French international revealed a partially torn achilles tendon that could keep her out for five months, meaning she would miss Lyon's last-eight tie on 10 and 17 March. It continues a miserable year for Dusang, 25, who only recently returned from a knee injury suffered in January that kept her out of UEFA WOMEN'S EURO 2009™.
