🚆 Free public transport for Women’s EURO ticket holders

On matchday, match tickets will be valid for a second-class return journey on public transport from any Swiss locality to the match venue.

Public transport is generally accessible for fans with limited mobility; bus and train carriage doors are wide enough for wheelchairs and are equipped with dedicated wheelchair spaces.

  • Transfer assistance can be pre-booked in advance at main train stations.
  • The SBB Inclusive app is designed to help the blind and partially sighted, as well as deaf and hard-of-hearing passengers. It provides location-specific information in all SBB long-distance trains and at all Swiss railway stations and can be prominently displayed or read aloud on a smartphone.
  • Most trains have a wheelchair-accessible toilet.

The following options are recommended for fans who have accessibility requirements.

💡 Make your way to the stadium from 2 hours before kick-off!

Plan your journey in advance and allow plenty of time to clear security and ticket checks before enjoying the pre-match atmosphere.

By public transport 🚋

⚠️ The dedicated shuttles trains are not accessible for wheelchair users.

Instead, use Tramline 14 towards Pratteln and disembark at Basel, St. Jakob.

By taxi / rideshare 🚖

Travelling by rideshare is not recommended on matchday due to road closures and traffic restrictions around the city centre and stadium.

If you must travel by taxi, use the designated taxi drop-off / pick-up point at St. Jakobskirche (St. Jakobs-Strasse 375, see stadium map).

By car (with pre-booked parking) 🚗

⚠️ Only drive to the stadium if you have a confirmed parking pass issued by the UEFA ticketing team.

All confirmed parking pass holders will receive an access route map and information on how to reach the parking area with their parking pass.

All tickets will be delivered on the UEFA Mobile Tickets app. Our ticketing team will provide updates by email in the lead-up to the tournament.

There are two types of accessibility tickets – Wheelchair User and Easy Access. If required, a complimentary companion ticket can be added to your order during the ticket purchase process.

Information on ticket delivery will be communicated in due course via the Women’s EURO tickets FAQs.

Volunteers 🙋

A team of friendly volunteers, proudly sponsored by AXA, will be on-site to assist you with directions and answer any questions.

There will also be dedicated accessibility volunteers at the stadium. You can identify them by their bibs that display an accessibility icon.

Medical exemption ⚕️

If you need to bring any special equipment for medical reasons, please get in touch with UEFA ticketing customer service to request an exemption. This should be done at least 48 hours before the match.

Stadium entrance 🚪

Use the entrance stated on your mobile match ticket as these will ensure accessibility needs are met. Entrances C/G at St. Jakob-Park are accessible.

Audio-descriptive commentary (ADC) 🗣️

ADC will be available in German for all matches in Basel.

The service will be available on the Women’s EURO app once the tournament starts. Simply bring your fully charged mobile phone with the app already installed and your own pair of headphones:

  • Open the UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 app
  • Tap on the “More” menu
  • Tap on “Audio-descriptive commentary” in the “At the event” section
  • Tap on the match you want to listen to (available 15 minutes before kick-off)
  • Enjoy!

The service requires only a minimum of mobile data. To recharge your phone during the match, you can bring a small power bank, no larger than your phone.

If you have any questions or issues with audio-descriptive commentary, speak to one of our accessibility volunteers.

Assistance / Service dogs 🐕‍🦺

If you will be attending the match with an assistance dog, please contact the UEFA ticketing customer service in advance.

There are specific seating locations for fans coming with assistance dogs, which include a dog-friendly area.

Wheelchair push service 🧑‍🦽

A wheelchair push service will be offered for guests with limited mobility who did not come in their own wheelchair and need help accessing their seats after the security checks.

Please reach out for the accessibility volunteers near the entrances if you require this service.

Sensory bags ✨

A limited number of sensory bags equipped with noise cancelling headphones, fidget toys and verbal cue cards will be available for fans at the stadium. If you require a sensory bag, please reach out to one of the accessibility volunteers.

🫶 Please return the bag after the match, so other fans can use it at another match and also enjoy their experience.

Accessible toilets 🚻

There are a number of accessible toilets located close to the accessible seats.

Concessions 🍟

Concessions nearest to accessible seats will have priority lanes for disabled people. If you require any support, please speak to one of the accessibility volunteers.

Yes, all activations in the Fan Zone are accessible.

What is the surface of the Fan Zone site?

The Fan Zone surface at Barfüsserplatz is cobblestone and artificial grass at Messeplatz.

What is the recommended route for fans with accessibility requirements?

Basel’s tram services are fully accessible:

Tram lines 6, 8 or 11 to Barfüsserplatz

Tram lines 2 or 6 to Messeplatz

Is there a particular entry route best suited for fans with limited mobility?

All entry routes into the Fan Zone in at Messeplatz are accessible. However, it is recommended to enter Barfüsserplatz from the same side as the tram lines.
