Two hat-tricks
Having opened their campaign with a 1-1 draw in Norway, Denmark inflicted Belgium's second six-goal of their two-game campaign since promotion, thanks hat-tricks from Anne Nielsen and Janni Lund Johansen
Trebles completed
Nielsen opened the scoring on 20 minutes, and Lund Johansen added the second 16 minutes later. Ingrid Derycke pulled one back eight minutes after half-time, but Lund Johansen made it 3-1 on the hour and within two minutes had completed her treble. Not to be outdone, Nielsen claimed her share of the match ball with goals on 66 and 88 minutes.
Next matches
Denmark will now look to overhaul Norway's three-point lead when they welcome the Netherlands to Odense on 18 October. Belgium will seek to get off the mark in the Netherlands, who are also yet to claim a point, on 22 November.
