Italy captain Nando Grana has finished as top scorer at the 2005 UEFA European Futsal Championship with six goals.
Crucial match
However, despite his satisfaction at finishing in first place, Nando Grana had cause to reflect on what have been. "Maybe it would have been more important if I had scored against Russia [when Italy lost 4-2 in the semi-finals]. It could have helped us to reach the final."
'Very happy'
The No2 added: "I have to congratulate the organisation of UEFA and the people of the Czech Republic for this tournament. It has been very good for our team. I am very happy to have been a part of it."
Past record
Ukraine's Serhiy Koridze, who registered just once at these finals, was the top marksman in both the 2001 and 2003 editions of the prestigious competition, scoring seven times on each occasion. Konstantin Eremenko still holds the record for goals scored in a European Championship, hitting eleven in the inaugural UEFA event in 1999.
