Seven-point lead
Antoine Zahra latched on to Peter Pullicino's pass to beat Daniel Dengaky for Hibernians' first on 35 minutes and when top scorer Adrian Mifsud added a second after 43 minutes, Hibernians could sense victory. Ndubisi Chukunyere scored a third on the hour and Zahara added a fourth four minutes later to leave his side seven points clear of second-placed Sliema Wanderers FC.
Nine minute hat-trick
Today's relegation group game was even more one-sided, Lija Athletic FC going down 6-0 against Naxxar Lions FC. After Adrian Farrugia had opened the scoring on 20 minutes, Paul Sixsmith added two more before half-time. Yet the striking honours went to Daniel Bogdanovic, who scored a nine-minute hat-trick with goals in the 80th, 85th and 89th minutes.
