Samsunspor coach Sakip Özberk has left the Turkish Super League club after the final game of the season.

Samsunspor coach Sakip Özberk has left the Turkish Super League club after the final game of the season, against champions Besiktas JK on Saturday.

'Several disagreements'
"I had a disagreement with Samsunspor board on several cases," Özberk said in a statement. "The Besiktas match will be my last match here. I leave involuntarily now because myself and the Samsunspor community had still got things to do together."

Safety assured
The 58-year-old coach took charge of Samsunspor in December and, despite a difficult season, guided the club away from the relegation zone and helped the side secure top-flight safety with several league games to spare. Özberk's final match in charged ended in a 4-3 defeat to Besiktas, a result which left Samsunspor in 12th place in the final standings with 39 points.
