News round-up: Czech midfield player Rudolph Skácel has signed for Heart of Midlothian FC on a one-season loan.

Southampton FC defender Andreas Jakobsson has rejoined Swedish Allsvenskan club Helsingborgs IF on a two-and-a-half year contract. The 32-year-old spent five seasons with Helsingborg between 1995 and 2000, before going on to play for FC Hansa Rostock and Brøndby IF. Jakobsson, who won 36 caps for Sweden before retiring after UEFA EURO™ 2004, joined Southampton at the start of last term, scoring twice in 27 appearances, but could not prevent them being relegated from the English Premiership.

OGC Nice defender Florian Boucansaud has signed for promoted French team ES Troyes Aube Champagne on loan for the 2004/05 season. The 24-year-old, who only moved to the Riviera club from FC Gueugnon last month, will be joined at Troyes by Georges Ba who arrives from Nice on a permanent two-year deal with the option for a further year. Ba, 26, was on loan at Montpellier Hérault SC and Le Mans UC 72 last term.

BV Borussia Dortmund will be without midfielder Sebastian Tyrala for at least six months. The 17-year-old, who started training with the Bundesliga side at the end of the summer break, tore a cruciate ligament in his left knee on Wednesday.

The 1. FC Kaiserslautern midfielder Jurgen Gjasula has gone to Swiss outfit FC St. Gallen for the next 12 months. The 19-year-old, who played seven Bundesliga games in the 2004/05 campaign, has also extended his Kaiserslautern contract until summer 2007.

Staying in Germany, relegated SC Freiburg have signed Scottish Under-21 international Mark Fotheringham from Dundee FC. The 21-year-old former Celtic FC forward made 22 appearances for the Scottish side last season.

PFC CSKA Moskva have allowed Latvian international midfielder Jurijs Laizans to join FC Torpedo Moskva on loan for the remainder of the 2005 campaign. Laizans has failed to establish himself at CSKA during two seasons in the Russian capital. The 26-year-old switched to the UEFA Cup winners from Skonto FC in 2001, and has since made 81 Premier-Liga appearances, scoring five goals.

Norwegian international midfielder Roger Risholt has transferred to Danish Superleague team AGF Århus from Norway's Fredrikstad FK on a three-year contract. The 26-year-old Risholt has played three times for the national side.

Scottish Premier League newcomers Falkirk FC have signed former Carlisle United FC and Hull City AFC goalkeeper Matt Glennon on a one-year contract. The 26-year-old has been recruited as cover for veteran Allan Ferguson.

Australian goalkeeper Michael Petkovic has signed a two-year contract with Turkish top flight newcomers Sivasspor after leaving Trabzonspor. Petkovic, who turned 29 at the weekend, has been capped four times and moved to Turkey in 2002.
