Galatasaray SK's pursuit of the Turkish title was slowed by a 2-0 defeat at Göztepe on Sunday.

Goal difference
The Istanbul giants remain level on points with Besiktas JK, who are top thanks to a narrowly superior goal difference. Tayfun Yungul put Göztepe ahead after ten minutes, volleying past Faryd Mondragon from Goksel Akinci's cross. Akinci was again the provider as Göztepe clinched the win in the 72nd minute, feeding Mustafa Ozkan for his side's second. Arif Erdem went closest for Galatasaray when his 35-metre shot crashed against the bar in the 41st minute.

Ankaragücü defeated
MKE Ankaragücü's hopes of a UEFA Champions League place suffered a setback as they lost 2-1 at Bursaspor, leaving them eight points off the pace in fourth place. The visitors gifted Bursaspor a third-minute lead when Ihsan Buruk Vzsarag put through his own net from Suleyman Fatih Sen's cross. Bursapor moved further ahead four minutes into the second half when a Fatih Sen pass again caused their defence problems and Alp Kugukvardar supplied the finishing touch. Huseyin Kartal pulled a goal back in the 59th minute, heading home Ohene Kennedy's cross, but that was the nearest Ankaragücü got.

Malatyaspor ease clear
Malatyaspor moved out of the relegation zone with a 2-1 win over Antalyaspor, secured by goals from Mithat Yavas and Fazli Ulusoy either side of Atilla Birlik's equaliser. Onder Deniz Kolgu netted an eleventh minute penalty after Yalgin Ayhan had handled in the box as Diyarbakirspor claimed a 1-0 win over Istanbulspor Istanbulspor AS.
