Article body
FC Twente have signed Finnish goalkeeper Mikko Rahkamaa from FC Jokerit.
Impressive trial
The 20-year-old impressed Twente while on a week-long trial at the Het Diekman stadium and has now signed a two-and-a-half year contract with the club. Rahkamaa could see action in the Eredivisie immediately as Twente are currently without first-choice goalkeeper Jan-Willem van Ede who is suffering from a long-term back injury and will miss the weekend league game with AZ Alkmaar.
Leaky defence
Having conceded 22 goals in 16 matches, Twente are eager to shore up their defence as they aim to climb up the Eredivisie table where they currently lie second from bottom. The Dutch club enjoyed a brief campaign in the UEFA Cup this season before being knocked out in a closely fought second round tie with Swiss side Grasshopper-Club.
