Aalborg BK missed the chance to make up ground on leaders Brøndby IF on Monday evening after a 1-1 home draw with Odense BK.
Siim on target
The host side could have gone joint-second in the table with FC København with a win, but were held by Dennis Siim's strike seven minutes from time. Aalborg took the lead through Michael Silberbauer after 38 minutes. Silberbauer, capitalising on poor defending from Odense defenders Torben Sangild and Lars Jacobsen, broke into the area before firing past goalkeeper Karim Zaza.
Aalborg fourth
But Siim restored parity late on, volleying home from 22 metres after a poor headed clearance from Thomas Bælum. The result leaves Aalborg in fourth, 12 points behind Brøndby. Odense merely consolidated their mid-table berth, lying seventh with 26 points.
