FC København have finally taken over full ownership of their Parken stadium after buying up the three remaining office towers on the site.
New facilities
The Danish champions have purchased the towers, previously owned by a property firm, for just over €28m and plan to improve facilities at the ground. København director Flemming Ostergaard is hoping that full ownership of Parken will lead to future projects to develop the area directly around the ground.
'Cultural centre'
He said: "We've now come a great deal closer to our vision of a modern sport and cultural centre in the area around Parken. This purchase has a huge strategic meaning for any further work towards a collective plan of development, and in the near future we want to continue talks with all interested parties."
