Fenerbahçe SK joined Galatasaray SK at the top of the Turkish first division after a comprehensive 3-0 home win over Göztepe.
Revivo inspired
Israeli midfield player Haim Revivo shot them ahead in the 16th minute when he pounced on a defensive error to hit the ball into the top of the net. Revivo then missed a penalty four minutes later and later headed wide but was on top form tonight.
Weather factor
Heavy rain had caused the pitch to play inconsistently and a Revivo cross from the right set up Kennet Andersson for Fenerbahce's 57th-minute second goal. The ball stopped in a pool of water in front of goal and Andersson, despite falling to the ground, scrambled the ball over the line with the back of his boot.
Killer third
The killer third goal came ten minutes later when Hakan Bayraktar's ball into the penalty area was not cleared and Ceyhun Eris scored from 12 yards. Galatasaray can move clear again by winning their game in hand and they face Samsunspor this weekend.
