Turkey round-up: Stylish finale for Göztepe

Göztepe's first season back in the 1. Lig ended on a high tonight as they beat Trabzonspor 4-2.

Positive start
Three points lifted them from eleventh to seventh in the 18-team league, but they can expect to drop a few places when the remainder of the league conclude their seasons over the weekend. Servet Çetin put them ahead in the fifth minute after Can Cumhur Bozaci failed to knock in a cross from Tayfun Yungul. Zafer Uysal headed the ball past his own goalkeeper to put Trabzonspor back on level terms just a minute later, but Bozaci restored the hosts' lead with a thunderous shot in the 16th minute.

Öztürk blunder
Osman Özköylü put Trabzonspor at 2-2 in the 24th minute with a header, but Göztepe pulled clear after their third goal. Helman Nkosiyetha Mkhalele pounced on an error by Güngör Öztürk to lash the ball in for the fifth goal of the match in the 35th-minute, and Mustafa Özkan's header after 56 minutes sealed the victory. Trabzonspor, traditionally giants of the Turkish game, could now finish as low as 15th after a miserable campaign.
