Coaching credentials
The 54-year-old was a striker at Konyaspor, Ceyhanspor and MKE Ankaragücü, where he became the club's top scorer in 1976. In 1994 he took the coaching position at the same club. In 1996-97 season he coached Vanspor, while in the 1998-1999 he coached Adanaspor and last season he was in charge of second division club Istanbul Büyüksehir Belediyespor.
'A big club'
"I will devote all my time for the success of Göztepe," said Renklibay. "I know they are a big club. I like working with youngsters and I like taking risks - everybody could see how Ankaragücü performed with young players who were transferred from the second and third divisions while I was in charge. I have been working in the football community for a long time and I trained numerous talented players. One of them is Hasan Sas, for example."
