Members

NK Varteks ended their goal drought as they defeated NK Osijek 2-0 on Saturday.

Victory for Varteks
Nenad Vuckovic and Matija Kristic scored the goals in a 2-0 victory for Varteks, who had lost their two opening fixtures 1-0.

Zagreb lose out
Elsewhere, reduced to ten men midway through the first half of their game with HNK Rijeka, champions NK Zagreb eventually lost out by the odd goal in five having twice thrown away the lead.

Klic the clincher
Two goals in the last 20 minutes from Sandro Klic won the points for Rijeka, who had trailed to Marijo Osibov's fourth-minute goal before Natko Racki equalised, only for Ibrahim Duro's penalty on the hour to restore Zagreb's lead.

Victor Vijic
In the day's other games, a Hrvoje Vijic header maintained NK Hajduk Split's 100 per cent league record at NK Šibenik, while the matches between NK Papuk Kamen Ingrad Venika and NK Zadarkomerc, and HNK Cibalia and NK Pomorac, ended 1-1.
