Poland round-up: Wodzislaw overhaul Katowice

Odra Wodzislaw are back on top of the Polish first division thanks to Legia Warszawa's victory at GKS Katowice.

Svitlica strikes twice
On-form Stanko Svitlica struck twice for Legia in the second half, and although Katowice pulled one back five minutes from time through Maciej Bojarski's penalty, the capital side held on and sit fourth in the table having yet to lose this season.

New leaders
That result ensured that also unbeaten Wodzislaw's 3-1 win against bottom-placed Pogon Szczecin - who had Tomasz Romaniuk sent off ten minutes from time - was enough to send them into pole position.

Wisla gain point
UEFA Cup competitors KS Amica Wronki and Wisla Kraków played out a tight 1-1 draw. Amica went ahead after 77 minutes when Dariusz Gesior headed into the net, but Maciej Zurawski scored a late equaliser to keep Wisla third.

Lubin loss
Big summer spenders Zaglebie Lubin lost their sixth game of eight this season, going down 2-0 at Wisla Plock, while KKS Lech Poznan led 2-0 at half-time against Garbarnia Szczakowianka Jaworzno, only for their visitors to level with goals from Marek Kubisz and Lukasz Blasiak.

In Sunday's match, Widzew Lódz defeated KS Ruch Chorzów 2-0 thanks to goals from Brazilians Guliano Marinho dos Santos and Sergio Leandro Batata, the second a penalty.
