Hubner to finish career at Piacenza

Veteran striker Dario Hubner has renewed his contract with Piacenza FC until 2004.

Joint top scorer
The 35-year-old scored 24 goals in Serie A last season and was the league's joint-top scorer alongside Juventus FC's French international David Trezeguet. This year he has already struck twice as Piacenza have started the campaign with two wins in two matches.

Last stop
The player has recently been linked with a move away from Piacenza but the new deal means he is likely to finish his career with the club in 2004 at the age of 37.

119 goals in Serie B
Hubner has scored 59 goals in 96 matches but this is in only his fourth season in the top flight. The former Brescia Calcio star struck on 119 occasions in Serie B, only making his debut in Serie A in 1997/98 when already over 30.
