Commotion caused
The match was suspended for 13 minutes following a brawl between fans, players and policemen, but was allowed to re-start when the trouble died down.
Dinamo hit back
NK Dinamo Zagreb, meanwhile, bounced back from their 3-0 defeat by Fulham FC in the UEFA Cup on Thursday to thrash NK Osijek 6-0 and retain second place. Dumitru Mitu opened the scoring on 19 minutes and Boško Balaban doubled the lead ten minutes later. Ivica Olic then struck twice, Niko Kranjcar was also on the scoresheet and Goce Sedloski rounded off the demolition on 82 minutes.
Great expectations
NK Kamen Ingrad are enjoying a purple patch and held on to fourth spot with a 2-1 defeat of Pomorac. Kamen were trailing from the 53rd minute when Marko Grubisic opened the scoring, but Rajko Vidovic and Zoran Zekic struck to make sure all three points stayed at the Velika. It was the seventh time this season that Kamen Ingrad have revered a deficit to win and the club are hopeful of securing one their best ever league positions.
Varteks third
NK Varteks defeated reigning champions NK Zagreb 2-0 to stay third, Miljenko Mumlek slamming in the opener for Varteks and Frane Petricevic securing the win on 56 minutes.
Sibenik thriller
Mladen Bartolovic, meanwhile, hit a late goal to earn NK Cibalia's win over NK Slaven Belupo at Vinkovci while NK Sibenik and NK Zadar fought out a 3-3 draw. Zadar were leading 3-1 until the 89th minute but the home side squeezed in two goals to equalize.
