Miodrag Ješic has been appointed coach of Bulgarian club PFC Slavia Sofia after Žarko Olarevic was sacked.
Previous jobs
The 48-year-old Yugoslavian Ješic has signed a two-and-a-half year contract. He previously coached FK Radnicki Beograd, OFK Beograd and FK Partizan and also spent eight years of his playing career with Partizan. Slavia are fifth in the Bulgarian Premier league and Ješic's main goal will be to ensure the club qualify for next season's UEFA Cup.
Double talk
"I have talked a lot with my colleague Slavoljub Muslin, who is in charge of PFC Levski Sofia," Ješic said. "I agreed terms with Slavia officials reasonably quickly and this left a very positive impression on me. I believe Slavia possess the qualities to reach the UEFA Cup."
