Ten-man RSC Anderlecht strolled to an overwhelming 7-1 victory against KSK Beveren on Saturday to stay second in the Eerste klasse.

Dindane sees red
By the time Aruna Dindane was sent off two minutes before the break, Anderlecht had already taken a two-goal lead thanks to strikes from Korean Ki Hyeon Seol and Walter Baseggio. By half-time Nenad Jestrovic had made the score 3-0 and although Steven Wostijn pulled a goal back soon after the restart, Jestrovic completed his hat-trick with a quickfire double on 77 and 78 minutes. Glen De Boeck and Ivica Morna completed the scoring with late goals to ensure Anderlecht have 35 points at the halfway stage of the season.

Brugge still top
Club Brugge KV remain eleven points clear at the top after a routine 3-0 win against KFC Lommelse SK. Sandy Martens opened the scoring inside nine minutes before second-half goals from Philippe Clement and Timmy Simons wrapped up another three points for the leaders.

Important Ernst
A 13th-minute strike from Didier Ernst put RAA Louvièroise on the way to a 3-1 win at R. AEC Mons. Romanian international Liviu Ciobatariu equalised four minutes later but La Louvière soon hit top gear and goals from Freddy Tilmant and Alan Haydock, the latter a wonderful lob, sealed victory.

Buvens on target
Elsewhere, K. Sint Truidense VV beat Sporting Lokeren St-Niklaas Waaslan 2-0 thanks to goals 17 minutes into each half from Dalibor Moitrovic and Chris Buvens. K. Lierse SK overcame KFC Germinal Beerschot Antwerpen by the odd goal in three. Aruna Kone's second-half double put Lierse into the driving seat and they held on for all three points despite Philip Haagdoren's 84th-minute goal for the visitors.

Hozny double
Two goals from KAA Gent's Ahmed Hozny were more than enough to see off KRC Genk while a solitary goal scored by Dariusz Yazdani gave R. Charleroi SC their first victory of the campaign - a 1-0 triumph against KVC Westerlo.

Mechelen troubled
In the day's only other game, R. Excelsior Mouscron beat financially unstable KV Mechelen 3-1. Steven Dugardein scored twice for the home side - for whom Geoffrey Claeys missed a penalty - and although Eric Viscaal pulled one back for Mechelen 12 minutes from time, Asanda Shishunda sealed victory Mouscron's victory in added time.

Honours even
In Sunday's game, R. Antwerp FC and R. Standard de Liège played out a 1-1 draw. Jean-François Walasiak gave Standard a 12th-minute lead which they held until five minutes from time, when Omar Mussa handed Antwerp a share of the spoils.
