Al-Habsi lands at Lyn

Great expectations
Al-Habsi will compete for a first-team place at the Norwegian club with veteran Thomas Andre Ødegaard. "He is good in the box and has great potential," said Lyn goalkeeping coach Espen Granli, who has been in Oman with agent Lars Petter Forsdahl to finish transfer negotiations.

Part-time player
The 21-year-old joins from Al-Nasser, where he played on a part-time basis having also worked as a fireman. Al-Habsi will get an early taste of Norwegian football next Tuesday, when Oman meet Norway in a friendly in Bosher.
