Promising youngsters
The youngster has signed a four-year deal with the Ukrainian club after leaving Górnik Lechna and has joined a trio of promising young Russian players who were signed by Arsenal coach Vyacheslav Hroznyi last week.
Friendly performances
Szalachowski turned 19 just three days ago, after spending a few weeks on trial in Arsenal's pre-season training camp in Antalya, Turkey. He impressed during friendly games against K. Sint Truidense VV and K. Lierse SK.
Youth works
Commitment to youth has been no bar to success for Arsenal this season. They sit in third place in the table during the winter break ahead of the resumption of the season on 8 March, five points behind league leaders and reigning champions FC Shakhtar Donetsk.
Coaching credentials
Coach Hroznyi joined Arsenal at the beginning of the season, bringing with him the vast coaching experience gained while working with FC Niva Vinnitsa, FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk, PFC Levski Sofia and FC Spartak Moskva.
