Vålerenga tempt Berre home

Vålerenga Fotball have signed the Oslo-born striker Morten Berre on a free transfer.

Spell in Germany
The 27-year-old had previously been playing for German club FC St. Pauli but was able to leave the Hamburg outfit, relegated from the 1. Bundesliga last season, as a free agent after seeing out his contract.

Viking loan
Berre also spent time on loan at Viking FK last term, appearing in the Stavanger club's UEFA Cup first and second-round ties against Chelsea FC and RC Celta de Vigo, scoring once. He formerly played for Skeid FK, one of Vålerenga's Oslo rivals.
