Servette FC captain Sébastien Fournier will miss the rest of the season after a second knee operation.

Servette FC captain Sébastien Fournier will miss the rest of the Nationalliga A campaign after taking the decision to have a second operation on his injured knee.

Surgery next week
The 31-year-old Swiss international midfield player, who had surgery on the same knee in September, will go back under the surgeon's knife next week, after which he faces at least three months' rehabilitation work.

Patient approach
"The doctors and I took the decision to operate together," said Fournier. "It will take another two to three months until a preliminary estimation can be given as to when I can return to training. I will definitely not force things until I'm fully fit and well."  Fournier has made just nine appearances this season, scoring once.
