Members

GKS Katowice moved to the top of the table with a 1-0 away win while Wisla Kraków suffered a 2-0 defeat.

GKS Katowice moved to the top of the Ekstraklasa with a narrow 1-0 win at Garbarnia Szczakowianka Jaworno.

Narrow advantage
The victory meant that Katowice moved a point ahead of previous leaders Wisla Kraków, who slipped to a 2-0 defeat at KS Groclin Grodzisk Wielkopolski.

Own goal separates sides
In a tight local derby at Garbarnia, the decisive moment came two minutes into the second half as Moussa Yahaya's shot from inside the penalty area was parried by Garbarnia goalkeeper Andrzej Bledzewski, but defender Jaroslaw Zadylak could only direct the rebound into his own net.

Near miss
The home side pushed forward in search of an equaliser, but Janusz Wolanski's shot against the crossbar just past the hour was the closest they came.

Solo strikes
Meanwhile Wisla, without five key players due to injury and suspension, were undone by second-half goals from Bogdan Prusek and Tomasz Moskala, as both substitutes found the net with fine individual efforts.

Odra up into second
Odra Wodzislaw moved above Wisla on goal difference following a single-goal victory at KS Ruch Chorzów, with Wojciech Gorski's 14th-minute goal separating the sides. Meanwhile, fourth-placed Legia Warszawa failed to take advantage of Wisla's defeat, with Aleksandar Vukovic missing two clear chances as they were held to a 0-0 draw at home by KS Górnik Zabrze.

Important win
At the other end of the table, Zaglebie Lubin boosted their hopes of avoiding relegation with a 2-0 home win against fellow strugglers KSZO Ostrowiec, with striker Arkadiusz Klimek scoring one of the goals. Meanwhile, bottom side Pogon Szczecin suffered another heavy defeat as visitors KS Amica Wronki were 4-0 winners, with Tomasz Dawidowski scoring twice.

Two for Slusarski
Elsewhere, Kazimierz Wegrzyn's goal earned Widzew Lódz an important victory at home to Wisla Plock, while KKS Lech Poznan ended KP Polonia Warszawa's three-match winning run with a 4-1 victory, as Bartosz Slusarski scored twice.
