PAS Giannina FC's appeal against a ban for unpaid debts has been rejected, confirming the Greek club's relegation.

Τhe appeal committee of the Hellenic Football Federation (EPO) today rejected PAS Giannina FC's appeal against the ban imposed on the team for unpaid debts to 19 former players.

Huge deductions
The ban consisted of a three-point deduction for every round of league matches, resulting in Giannina being relegated from the Alpha Ethniki to the Beta Ethniki Katigoria after they finished at the bottom of the table with -65 points. It is the first time a Greek club have been relegated due to their debts.

Relegation places
Panahaiki FC were also relegated while Ionikos FC, who finished 14th with 24 points, face a play-off match on Sunday against Apollon Kalamarias - the third-placed team in the Beta Ethniki - to determine the final place in the top-flight for next season.
