Polish international Piotr Swierczewski has returned home to Lech Poznan on a one-year contract.

Left Marseille
Swierczewski terminated his contract with French side Olympique de Marseille earlier this month, due to a lack of first-team opportunities. He chose Lech ahead of KS Górnik Zabrze and returns to Poland after ten years abroad, during which time he played in France, Japan and England.

'Great potential'
The 31-year-old, who has appeared 79 times for Poland, said: "Lech have great potential, a lot of fans and are a well-known, respected club. The city of Poznan demands good football and I hope to help this club push for the title in the near future."

Wisla sign Ekwueme
Meanwhile, champions Wisla Kraków have signed the 18-year-old Nigerian midfield player Martins Ekwueme on a four-year contract from Czech side SK Sigma Olomouc. Martins, whose brother Emmanuel plays for Wisla Plock, could make his debut against Górnik on Saturday.
