'We are delighted'
UCD director Richard Shakespeare said: "We took our time over this decision because we wanted someone with the right experience. And we are delighted with the man we got."

Mahon, who rose to prominence when he took non-league Saint Francis FC to the 1990 FAI Cup final, will take charge for Friday’s visit of Shamrock Rovers FC. His son Alan has been a player at the club for the last four years.
