Algerian cause
The 33-year-old midfield player, who terminated his contract with RCD Espanyol in August, will hang up his boots after the game, arranged by Zinedine Zidane to help raise money for the victims of an earthquake that devastated the north of Algeria last May.
Losing interest
"The more time went on," Boghossian said of his spell in Spain, "the less I wanted to play again." Capped 26 times by France, he will sign off tonight at the stadium where he started out with Marseille in 1989.
Colourful career
Boghossian can name Sampdoria UC and Parma AC among his former clubs in a career, which included UEFA Cup and UEFA Super Cup winners' medals. However, the highlight came on the international stage during the summer of 1998. He played five games as France lifted the World Cup on home soil, coming on as a substitute for Christian Karembeu in the final itself.
