Olympiacos honours
His former Olympiacos captain, Serbo-Montenegrin Predrag Djordjevic, took the prize for best foreign player in the Alpha Ethniki, while Christian Karembeu, also of Olympiacos, was voted fans' favourite player. However, the overall team award went to AEK Athens FC, whose head coach Dusan Bajevic was chosen as best coach of last season.
Footballers' association
Panathinaikos FC's Antonis Nikopolidis was named best goalkeeper, while Vangelis Mantzios of Panionios NFC was best young player. The awards were handed out at a ceremony organised by the Greek professional footballers' association, the PSAP.
