Siena suffer Ardito blow

Serie A new boys AC Siena have lost Andrea Ardito for up to five months with a cruciate ligament injury.

Cruciate ligament
The 26-year-old tore the cruciate ligament in his left knee and will undergo surgery in the next few days. Ardito was a key player as the Tuscan club won promotion to Serie A last term and this season has been an ever-present as Siena have made a reasonable start, lying in mid-table after ten matches.
