Cup glory
Schachner, a former Austrian international, made his name as a coach with FC Kärnten, whom he led to the Austrian Cup and Super Cup in 2001 before joining GAK in 2002 after a short spell with FK Austria Wien.
'Christmas come early'
Schachner guided GAK to second place in the Austrian top flight in 2002/03, but the side were edged out of the UEFA Champions League by AFC Ajax in the third qualifying round.
