Fach, a former Mönchengladbach player, agreed the new deal on Wednesday night after the 2-1 win over TSV 1860 München. Previously reserve-team coach at the club, he took over from Ewald Lienen on 12 September, signing an initial deal until 2004.
Responsible for rise
The club's sport director, Christian Hochstätter, said: "Holger Fach brought this team back to life and he is responsible for us looking ahead to the second half of the season with renewed confidence." The 41-year-old has led Mönchengladbach out of the relegation zone and has also taken them into the quarter-finals of the cup.
