Polish international defender Bartosz Bosacki has joined newly promoted Bundesliga side 1. FC Nürnberg from Lech Poznan for an undisclosed fee.
Successful season
The 28-year-old will move to Germany on 1 July after a season in which he helped his club win the Polish Cup and Polish Super Cup. Having made his international debut in February 2002 against the Faroe Islands, he finally won his second cap this April and has appeared twice more for the international side since.
Polish trend
He follows in a recent trend of Polish players at the reigning German second division champions, coached by Wolfgang Wolf. Mariusz Kukielka, Tomasz Kos and Jacek Krzynowek have played at the club in recent times and Bosacki's fellow defender Tomasz Hajto has joined from FC Schalke 04.
