Two goals from Naohiro Takahara lifted Hamburger SV off the bottom of the Bundesliga with a welcome 2-1 home win against previously unbeaten Hertha BSC Berlin.
Hamburg relief
Hamburg moved climbed up to 13th, a point ahead of Hertha, after Takahara had given them a third-minute lead. 18-year-old Christian Müller scored his first ever Bundesliga goal to restore parity but the home side took all three points thanks to Takahara's second goal ten minutes from time.
Auer strikes
Stuttering BV Borussia Dortmund, with only one win so far this season, had to settle for a share of the spoils away against FSV Mainz 05. Jan Koller gave the visitors the lead on nine minutes, but Under-21 international Benjamin Auer earned Jürgen Klopp's side a point with a second-half equaliser. Top-flight newcomers Mainz are fifth, a point behind FC Bayern München.
